too much birthday

In my house, we always seem to suffer from "too much birthday" (taken from The Berenstain Bears) - an event hangover, if you will. While this would seem to be the perfect excuse to get some reading done, ahem, my household to-do list will not allow it. Having baseball and birthdays on the same night is just a double whammy.

I will say that KWB has a poise on the pitcher's mound that leaves us all wondering, since in real life he is a bit, um, high strung. And Miji brought her camera skillz (and the girls) to the game and got some fierce action shots. Those girls are a real addition to the sidelines with their hair bows and "yoo hoo, opa <big brother> Karl I'm over here." Good times girls, thanks.

I'm still formulating my reviewish thoughts...hopefully by tonight they'll take the form of sentences. But then, there's more baseball.

Whatcha reading?

The End.

You go girl for surviving birthdays and baseball! My reading has been put on hold for a week or so whilst I finish the scrapbook room redo.... UGH! Whose idea was this???

Birthday hangover for us was in March- 11 family birthdays! I'm blaming all the extra weight on all those birthday cakes! :) I'm half way through the book thief. Excellent thus far!

Reading... the distance between what I want to be reading and what I am reading is the trick. Hello, Raising the Spirited Child. Hello, large book of healthy recipes given by friend wanting to know how it goes. Ah, beloved friend and book lender of two most inspiring books of your life. Why aren't these books novels? tee hee. Because I better get off my lazy bootie and get on with the self improvement. Tomorrow.

Makes baseball sound more fun, right?

i am reading tea house fire thanks to you and it is riveting. memoirs of a geisha meets shogun... it is definitely a read. i know what you mean by b day hangover. my mom had her b day today and you would think it was the coronation of queen victoria... hoping life slows down soon...

I am finishing an easy read, The Carrot Cake Murder, re reading, Love Walked In for book club and starting, Free Food for Millionaries. I'll keep you posted. Love, Your CUZ
