I have completely surrendered to being sick - still in the midst of this nasty coughing thing - going on week 3. Taking some stuff that clearly isn't working. And having a crazy couple of weeks. How about a list ? -
1. Caleb turned 7 yesterday. He was most looking forward to the ring pop and pencil from his teacher. A lovely reminder to me that simple pleasures are best. Our happy camper.
2. The Owen is making magnet jewelry for me - including a crown. Now that's something that wasn't suggested in the idea pamphlet. Countdown has begun for his 5th birthday.
3. I have been reading, but haven't finished a thing. I'm about 80 pages into at least 4 books. (The Whistling Season; America, America; Revolutionary Road; and....?)
4. Miji & I took the kids to see Lisa Loeb in concert at National Geographic Live. I had a good chuckle afterward listening to them talk about all the songs she didn't sing...and informed them it happens at mama concerts too.
5. Cough Cough Cough, excuse me.
6. Starting the day after Thanksgiving I'll be posting a fun little etsy/internet find everyday. Maybe even 2 fun things - the list continues to grow. Amazing what you can see & do when you stop blogging for a week.
7. If you're in the area (Olney) tomorrow, and it isn't snowing, our school has their Christmas Bazaar - baked goods, used stuff, books, and fresh from the fryer Oliebollen. If you've never..you really must. Email me for directions.
8. For the month of December I will not be visiting the library. I'm going to try to tackle some of the older books in my stack and they can't compete with due dates.
9. Any favorite Thanksgiving recipes to share? I make a killer stuffing - before I can post it, I have to find the gnarled piece of paper that has all my notes.
Later peeps, the kettle is a'whistlin.
The End.
