Did any of you see the Super Moon? We were driving home from Nashville and totally freaked out by the gigantic red ball looming on the horizon. Heading east it looked like we were going straight in to a flaming round mountain. We all marveled and remarked that it was the biggest moon we had ever seen. And it was. Unbelievably amazing.
For our family there are big scary things on the horizon. Baseball for one. Our schedule is laughable and I am forced to catch up with the rest of the world and use my phone for scheduling. I really liked my paper calendar but it won't beep at me while I 'm driving to remind me which kid goes where. And we are moderate when it comes to activities. One sport at a time (times 3 kids). Yes, we chose the longest sport possible meaning we will be out every night starting at 3pm until June. Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays practice with 2 Saturday games, 1 Tuesday game, and then games 2 other random days each week for the oldest. How did this happen? Just you wait you parents of little 'uns.
Did I mention we are among the most reasonable people we know when it comes to extracurriculars? Baseball knows no reason.
And I am preparing for the Howard County Greenfest this Saturday. The Paper Pear will have a table among the environmentally friendly local businesses. And I'm scurrying to get prints made and all my tax stuff in order (sales tax, urgh). Here is a picture of my table from the fall bazaar at our school.
I'm going with a similar setup this time, but need to make new pricing signs, print more business cards, pack sharpies and all the little extras that I only think of when I cannot write them down. I should have some new spring designs too. If you are in the area, I'd love to see you! There are cool activities going on all day - discounted haircuts from Aveda, Goodwill drop off, community shredding, and outdoor fun too. For a full schedule click here.
What's on your horizon?
The End.
