It's list time again...
I know many of you have already started your school year, but here in the mid-atlantic we start "late"(this week or next). It is never too late to add more books to the list. An ode to back to school - some fiction, mystery, memoir, poetry, childrens, and a classic.
FYI - I haven't read any of these, but they are all on my list.
Schooled by Anisha Lakhani (the cover got me)
Ahead of the Curve: Two Years at Harvard Business School by Philip Delves Broughton
Inside Mrs. B's Classroom: Courage, Hope, and Learning on Chicago's South Side by Leslie Baldacci (heard good things about this...Allison?)
Educating Esme: Diary of a Teacher's First Year by Esme Raji Codell
Saving Miss Oliver's: A Novel of Leadership, Loyalty and Change by Stephen Davenport

Great Books for High School Kids: A Teacher's Guide to Books that Can Change Teens' Lives by Rick Ayers and Amy Crawford - curious to see what my hs english teacher friends (ahem, e, j & d) think of this list.
Schoolhouse Rock - " Personally, I celebrate the (man's) entire catalog"
I happen to be partial to Grammar Rock, in a pinch I find myself singing the songs to remember certain rules.
and just like Library Lady, I present to you:
Lunch Lady tee hee.
So before you get buried in massive amounts of paper & homework battles - gird yourself by reading something good.
The End.
